Game Changers
At BECC, we’re not just talking about making a difference—we’re doing it. Our Tables are where community meets action, and together, we’re building a stronger Osceola County. Check out how we’re getting it done:
Our History
Osceola County’s Black history is a hidden gem that is often overlooked but deeply significant. From the establishment of the all-Black Kissimmee High School and Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church to the contributions of midwives, doctors, and business owners, this history is rich and vibrant.
Yet, despite all that we’ve built and contributed, our voices remained overlooked.
Through her work in the local community, Tiffany Jeffers saw firsthand the lack of meaningful support for Black entrepreneurs and residents, despite the repeated promises of established institutions.
As a dedicated community advocate, Tiffany knew that beneath the surface, a vibrant African American culture was waiting to be celebrated. She recognized the pressing need for a space where Osceola County’s Black community could come together, access culturally relevant resources, and receive the support they had long been denied.
That’s when BECC was born.
With Osceola County rapidly growing and becoming more diverse, Tiffany launched BECC in 2024 to bridge this gap. With 15.6% of the county’s population identifying as Black, BECC is driven by a deep passion to amplify Black voices, uncover hidden histories, and honor Black excellence.
We create spaces where culture, heritage, and achievements are brought to the forefront. Through our four pillars—Connect, Contribute, Collaborate, and Care—we prioritize the collective success of our community. We honor the past, uplift the present, and empower the future, making Black excellence visible and unstoppable in Osceola County.
